Michalina Almindo

Michalina Almindo started her career in the entertainment industry 8 years ago first as an actress and soon after began Producing. Her first film audition was for a local filmmaker. She not only secured a role but was active in all aspects of production including locations, talent, sound and scheduling. Over the span of eight years she continued to work as an actress and producer. In 2003 she was in a film titled Nate Dogg that went on to win best debut feature film at the Raindance film festival in London receiving nice notices including a mention in Time Magazine in Europe in article titled “Sticking it to the Studios." Her most recent project, currently in post production, is called Aftermath and it stars Anthony Michael Hall, Chris Penn, Tony Danza, Frank Whaley, Federico Castelluccio, Jamie Harrold and Elisabeth Rohm. In addition to producing indie films she has also produced plays as well as read scripts for an Off Broadway theater. As an actress she has had roles in Sex and the City, Nate Dogg, Find Me Guilty, Aftermath, Jonny Zero and a recurring role on All My Children. Michalina is one of the Co-Founders of the new and innovative group in the Hudson Valley called Independent Artists Collaborative (IAC). She is also a member of Upstate Independents, SAG, and AFTRA. This happens to be a very busy year for Michalina who is currently working as a producer with her partner Evan Leone on the feature film Grazing Miss Albany, written and to be directed by Mike Camoin; Champagne Society, written and to be directed by Jonny Gillette; and Rock Bottom, written by and to be directed by Joe Goodavage. In addition to this she will be producing and acting in a short titled Cold Sunshine, written by Evan Leone and to be directed by Jonny Gillette.
